Job Performance Technology Center

Under construction

The JPTC Vision
The DoD-funded ADL JPTC supports life-long learning and job performance through data readiness. Learning content in support of performance readiness is a logistical component that must be accurately managed, produced and delivered in concert with other information products. All technical information in support of a common product must be agile and accessible to change and grow as new product designs are applied through life cycle. Product requirements drive life cycles, and information assets must be accurate for life-long learning and human performance to prevail.

Solving Problems and Reducing Ownership Costs
Outdated learning content meant to support installed product baselines is caused by a lack of configuration management and poor update notifications during the product redesign phase. International technical data specifications are solving this problem by applying logistics support through XML and configuration management to technical learning information. International technical data specifications can now serve as a common digital data format for all system documentation, including training, managed in a common source database. All product support -information can  be managed concurrently  allowing  for training departments to be notified of new  product design requirements in real time, thereby reducing wasteful spending and improving data readiness.
