Body:
The ADL Learning Technology Lab at the ADL Co-Lab Hub in Alexandria, Virginia maintains installations of content authoring, management, and delivery systems, including SCORM 2004-certified learning management systems (LMSs). ADL makes these systems available to the public for testing and information purposes.

In this special, in-person session, you can visit the Learning Technology Lab and try out some of the popular LMS, LCMS, and authoring tools on the market. Plus, you’ll get a special one-hour presentation about how to pick an authoring tool and the ADL paper titled Choosing an Authoring Tool.

Thursday, March 18 from 9:00 to 12:00

ADL Co-Lab

1901 N. Beauregard Street
Suite 600
Alexandria, VA 22311 USA

Program:

9:00 – 10:00

How to Select an Authoring Tool

10:00 – 12:00

Open “Sandbox” Time

During this time, you will be able to work in teams to explore the various tools featured in the lab. In just a short period of time, you can try out first-hand what would otherwise take weeks to explore by talking to sales reps and downloading trial versions. While this is not specific “how-to” training, industry experts will be available to help lend perspective on features and offerings. Try a few – try them all! Stay for as much of the allotted time as you wish.

ADL Co-Lab Hub is pleased to host this event with the collaboration of the DC ASTD Metro Technology SIG. The event will be jointly presented. To register contact Diane Elkins with ASTD Technical Sig at dpelkins@comcast.net
