ADL Initiative R&D Performers Highlight Their Progress

March 30, 2018

Principal Investigator (PI) Meeting | 3-4 April 2018 | Alexandria, VA

The ADL Initiative will host its annual Principal Investigator (PI) meeting for its R&D performers and interested government stakeholders.

Over two days, PIs will provide overviews of their respective projects and updates on their annual progress. ADL Initiative leadership will also share strategic guidance and plans for the future. Topics at this year’s PI meeting include interoperability; learning data, analytics, and visualizations; learning science; and policy requirements. The agenda will showcase discussions on the ADL Initiative’s Total Learning Architecture (TLA) and brief updates from select government collaborators on their related efforts.

This meeting serves as fertile ground for information exchange on industry and academic emerging concepts and products, and government requirements for distributed learning science and technologies. The PI meeting offers an opportunity for identifying specific collaboration efforts across agencies in order to improve efficacy and efficiency in various areas.

Many government stakeholders attending this meeting will also attend the semi-annual Defense ADL Advisory Committee Meeting (DADLAC), which will take place on 5-6 April in order to share updates from their respective service commands and agencies.

The DADLAC is an advisory body comprised of government leaders who oversee and support distributed learning policy and initiatives and monitor the emerging distributed learning technologies across the Defense community.
