The Denmark ADL Partnership Center was established in 2019 and is located at the Royal Danish Defence College, Center for Education in Copenhagen. The Center is responsible for pedagogical development, education and training of teachers, operation and development of our digital learning platform, and course development for the entire Ministry of Defence.

Mission

The Danish Center for Education is responsible for the development, procurement, implementation, and evaluation of Advanced Distributive Learning (ADL) digital learning resources in the Danish Defence Forces. The main areas include:

  • Implementing pedagogy in all areas of ADL
  • Transforming face-to-face (F2F) education to digital-based learning
  • Producing ADL learning objects
  • Training the educators in producing ADL learning objects

The Denmark ADL Partnership Center participates in national and international meetings and networks and also serves as the co-organizer of the Nordic Defence Cooperation (NORDEFCO) ADL Conference.

Leadership

Senior Consultant Helle Bro Groth is the Head of the Danish Center of Education at the Royal Danish Defence College. Helle holds over 15 years of experience with ADL.

Major Michael Thorsen serves as the Point of Contact. Michael has worked with ADL for the last 10 years at the Royal Danish Defence College. Michael is a member of the NORDEFCO ADL Forum of Experts and the Danish ADL representative in the NATO Training Group Individual Training and Education Developments (IT&ED).
