ADL Initiative is a 2019 Learning! 50 Elite Winner for its Learning Technology Warehouse

September 25, 2019

The ADL Initiative placed #30 of the top 50 private and public sector organizations in the Elearning! Media Group’s 2019 Learning! 100 Awards Competition— the ninth consecutive win for the ADL Initiative. The ADL Learning Technology Warehouse was selected for excellence in learning innovation, collaboration, and business performance.

The ADL Learning Technology Warehouse is an online platform, designed to help Defense and Federal training/education managers implement newly developed distributed learning software applications. In other words, it will serve as a bridge between research and practice, aiding the transition of ADL Initiative R&D deliverables into the operational community. In practice, the ADL Learning Technology Warehouse will use a secure cloud hosting environment, where end-users and decision-makers can access and evaluate different platforms, systems, and tools. Software applications available from this environment will be compliant with the Total Learning Architecture (TLA) and will also include necessary documentation and cybersecurity reviews.

Learning! 100 submissions were evaluated according to three sets of criteria: Darden School’s Learning Culture Index, Collaborative Strategies’ Innovation & Collaboration Ratings, and overall organizational performance. The evaluators reviewed each nominee against these criteria and ranked the aggregate scores. The ADL Initiative was selected from hundreds of applicants.
